NEPCALI
is a project based in Long Beach, California, blending Hard Rock and Metal with the Himalayan flair of Nepalese culture, seasoned with a touch of influences that span a wide range of music from the past, and present. Nepal immigrants, vocalist Arpan “AP” Karki, and guitarist Sunny Shrestha, are joined by Southern Californian natives, drummer Seth Hernandez, and bassist Matt Kilgore, to bring the titanic peaks to the golden state seas. Heavy and cathartic, to touchingly honest, emotional, and at points, spiritual, this melting pot of misfits bring the power to studio, and stage, for the love of music, brotherhood, healing, and representation.

NepCali is currently promoting their latest single, “Mahakali,” an intense fusion of ethnic roots and heavy metal, available now on YouTube. The band is also hard at work on their upcoming EP, set to be completed by the end of summer. This new project marks an evolution in NepCali’s sound—leaning further into heavier tones and rich cultural textures, while moving away from the pop and hip-hop influences that shaped some of their earlier work.
While live performances have briefly slowed to allow time for writing and production, NepCali is actively planning their 2025 tour, kicking off in May, where they’ll debut new tracks and a revitalized setlist for live audiences. The band is also exploring festival opportunities to reach new fans and expand their footprint in the heavy music scene.
